The Shogun FLEX provides both eccentric and concentric resistance to optimize muscle growth and recovery. With six resistance modes, unlock unparalleled versatility with FLEX’s dynamic training options.
- Standard Mode
In Standard Mode, the resistance for rope pull-out and retraction remains constant, but the retraction resistance is slightly lower than the pull-out resistance. For instance, if you set the resistance to 44 lb (20 kg), the pull-out will have a resistance of 44 lb (20 kg), whereas the retraction will be approximately 37.5 lb (17 kg). - Concentric Mode
In Concentric Mode, the resistance during rope pull-out is greater than during retraction. Concentric training can better strengthen muscles and increase their explosive power. The adjusted resistance is the resistance during rope pull-out, and the retraction resistance is controlled by adjusting the concentricity. For example, if you set the resistance to 44 lb (20 kg) and the concentric rate to 50%, the resistance during pull-out will be 44 lb (20 kg) and 22 lb (10 kg) during retraction. When the concentric rate is adjusted to 0%, the retraction resistance will be identical to the pull-out resistance. - Eccentric Mode
In Eccentric Mode, the resistance during rope pull-out is lower than during retraction. Eccentric training enhances workout efficiency, helping break through fitness plateaus and fine-tune your physique. The adjusted resistance is the resistance during rope retraction, while pull-out resistance is controlled by adjusting the eccentricity. For example, if you set the resistance to 44 lb (20 kg) and the eccentric rate to 50%, the resistance during pull-out will be 22 lb (10 kg), and during retraction, it will be 44 lb (20 kg). When the eccentric rate is adjusted to 0%, the retraction resistance will be identical to the pull-out resistance. - Constant Mode
In Constant Mode, the faster the rope is pulled out, the greater the resistance. The retraction resistance is dynamically adjusted based on the set resistance and battery level, to balance kinetic energy recovery and electrical power consumption.Generally, this mode does not factor in the FLEX battery level. Simply adjust the resistance level, which provides the maximum resistance when pulled out at a certain speed, and is also positively correlated with the resistance during retraction. - Chains Mode
In Chains Mode, when the rope is being pulled out, the resistance progressively increases as it simulates the gradual lifting of a chain from the floor. It reaches a fixed maximum resistance when a certain distance is pulled out, emulating the state of a fully lifted chain. During retraction, it simulates the gradual unloading of weight, gradually reducing resistance. The Chain Training will enhance your explosive power in various strength exercises. The adjusted resistance is the maximum resistance of a full lift, and the chain weight is controlled by adjusting the chain load ratio. For example, if you set the resistance to 44 lb (20 kg) and the load ratio to 50%, the initial resistance will be 22 lb (10 kg). As the rope is slowly pulled out, it gradually intensifies. After pulling a certain distance, the resistance reaches the maximum value of 44 lb (20 kg) and remains constant. During retraction, as the rope has been retracted a certain distance, the resistance starts to gradually decrease. As the rope continues to be retracted, the resistance eventually decreases to 22 lb (10 kg). - Generation Mode
In Generation Mode, the maximum resistance of a pull-out is the set resistance value. The faster the pull-out speed, the greater the resistance, while the retraction resistance is lower, maximizing the efficiency of converting kinetic energy into electrical power.Typically, with a resistance of 44 lb (20 kg), pulling 10 times can charge the battery by 1%. In Charging Mode, when the battery level reaches 95%, your training will automatically switch to Concentric Mode to prevent overcharging and extend the battery lifespan.
